But, even though we all know that attitude drives action, and that we are far more productive when we believe in ourselves, the challenge is in the execution. How do you keep up your spirits every day? How can you believe that change is possible when you're distracted each day by messages that tell you otherwise? How do you build enough courage to take risks and try uncharted territory in your career?
Fortunately, the emerging science of Positive Psychology is producing outstanding research into substantive ways people can alter their attitude and mindset on a consistent basis. This relatively new science (much of it being pioneered at the University of Pennsylvania) is helping us gain insights into the simple things we can do each day that will provide us with the tools we need to be happier, more successful and more fulfilled.
To get a sense of what is happening in this exciting new field, here is a link to an assortment of podcasts with experts in Positive Psychology, on the website of author Caroline Miller. This is an easy way to listen in to some of the emerging thought leaders in this field and get tips on ways to ramp up the success quotient in your own life.
Fascinating listening, I promise. Enjoy!
